The Paul Coverdell National Forensic Science Improvement Act Grants provide for the improvement of the quality, timeliness ,and crediibility of forensic science service for criminal justice purpose. The NFSIA program funds crime laboratories and medical examiners offices through the State Administrating Agency based on population and crime statistics. the program permits funding for expense related to facilities, personnel, computerization, equipment, supplies, accreditation, certification,, education, and training.
