Project Summary for 2002-LT-BX-K006

G2Tactics LLC, recognizing the problem caused by the large number of stolen vehicles annually, has developed the Grant Larceny Auto Video Detection System (GLAVID). GLAVID is an innovative surveillance tool for law enforcement that can be used to combat this growing problem. GLAVID is an imagery analysis system that reads the license plates of passing vehicles and compares them to the current National Crime Information Center (NCIC) record of stolen vehicles. This system can be deployed either covertly in a stationary vehicle or setup for mobile use in a police cruiser.
