Project Summary For 2000-IJ-CX-K008

The Curators of the University of Missouri-St. Louis will serve as the research partner for the Eastern District of Missouri SACSI site. The goal of SACSI is to increase the capacity of United States Attorneys, working in partnership with federal, state and local crminal justice agencies, the community, and a research entity, to design data-driven targeted strategies and interventions that produce measurable decreases in targeted crime. The research partner will be an active participant throughout the entire SACSI project: (1) identifying, collecting, and analyzing data to identify and precisely define crime problem(s); (2) assisting in the development of intervention strategies that address the identified problems; (3) designing tools that measure the on- going impact and effectiveness of selected interventions; and, (4) documenting and providing feedback to the SACSI process.
