As global events, from the pandemic to the fentanyl crisis and climate disasters, increasingly focus attention on the work of forensic science organizations, practitioners require a comprehensive communications strategy to ensure quality service to the public. This webinar, featuring two professionals with extensive experience across a range of stakeholders, will offer frameworks and practical advice for organizations seeking to launch and/or fortify their communications practice.

Topics to be covered include how to assess communication needs for an organization and dedicate resources; tips for proper conduct of media relations; advice on interactions with families, partner organizations, and other stakeholders; and suggestions on how to leverage opportunities to engage the public in the public health and safety activities of forensic science organizations. 

The presenters will draw heavily from their own years of experience in New York City to deliver a webinar that is timely, relevant, and useful for any forensic science organization seeking to promote and practice impactful communications.
