Gregory Zimmerman (2008 Fellow) is an assistant professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University, where he studies the intersection of psychological and sociological factors related to criminal offending. His research on the person-context nexus is interdisciplinary. "The NIJ GRF program was instrumental in my work as a doctoral student at the University at Albany, SUNY," he says. "It enabled me to focus on my dissertation without distraction. It also forced me to work on describing the import of my research in a straightforward, succinct manner."
