At the 27th ISFG meeting in Seoul, we presented STRSeq, a catalog of high-confidence sequences at forensic short tandem repeat (STR) loci targeted in commercially available sequencing assays.
This project was initiated to facilitate the description of sequence-based alleles, providing a framework for communication among laboratories. The STRSeq catalog is maintained at NCBI, in the form of GenBank records organized in a BioProject hierarchy. Herein we describe a method by which a user can query this catalog using the NCBI BLAST application. (Publisher Abstract Provided)
