Current Funding Opportunities

Description

Notices

All fiscal year 2020 solicitations from NIJ have closed. If you are a successful applicant and your project is selected for funding, NIJ will notify you of the award no later than September 30 of the calendar year via the Grants Management System (GMS), regardless of whether the application came through GMS or Grants.gov. If you are unsuccessful, NIJ will issue you a rejection letter by December 30 of the calendar year.

In fiscal 2020, all state and local forensic capacity enhancement programs previously administered by NIJ moved to the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). The fiscal year 2020 solicitation "DNA Capacity Enhancement and Backlog Reduction Program" is available from BJA. The closing date is August 7, 2020.

Because most solicitations are competitive, we cannot have individual conversations concerning the solicitation with prospective applicants. Any questions concerning open solicitation should be submitted to the NCJRS Response Center by phone 1-800-851-3420 (TTY at 301-240-6310 for hearing impaired only), by email at [email protected], or via web chat.
