In FY 2021, applications will be submitted in a new two-step process, each with its own deadline:

  1. Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov.
  2. Submit the full application including attachments in JustGrants.

Please read the solicitation document carefully for further guidance.

Because most solicitations are competitive, we cannot have individual conversations concerning the solicitation with prospective applicants. With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for rigorous research and evaluation projects examining the impact of pretrial strategies on the administration of justice and public safety. Specifically, NIJ seeks applications for projects examining the impact on the administration of justice and public safety of pretrial detention healthcare, data-driven interventions, prosecutorial discretion, decriminalization of certain offences, and bail reform.
