The applicant seeks to recruit over 800 police officers and citizens and capture their responses to various vignettes depicting a fictitious police-citizen interaction. The proposed research design adds to criminal justice literature by including police perceptions of use-of-force interactionswhich is unique because related research is limited to the perceptions of community members.
