Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2014, $125,000)
The PBSO is seeking grant funding to support the resolution of these Cold Cases which otherwise will be significantly delayed due to the substantial number of Cold Cases coupled with the current, limited capacity of the Squad and the FBU. The overarching purpose for this grant proposal is to support the resolution of all Cold Cases. Specific goals include the prioritization of all remaining Cold Cases not prioritized by the commencement of the grant program, submission and analysis of forensic case evidence for 34 Cold Cases identified as having a high success and/or moderate success potential for resolution, and submission of all Cold Cases to the State Attorneys Office for prosecution and judicial review when a suspect has been identified and corresponding forensic evidence has been analyzed.
