Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2013, $1,699,224)

This award was competitively made in response to a proposal submitted by the Rand Corporation to a National Institute of Justice FY 2013 solicitation: "Identifying the Highest Priority Criminal Justice Technology Needs". In its application, the RAND Corporation proposed to conduct a study to identify and prioritize the technology needs of the three criminal justice (CJ) communities of practice identified in the solicitation: law enforcement, corrections, and courts. The study will produce annual reports on technology needs in the three communities, as well as more frequent shorter topical and other analyses to inform NIJ's technology research, development, test, and evaluation activities. ca/ncf
