This award was competitively made in response to a proposal submitted by the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago to a National Institute of Justice FY 2013 solicitation: Applied Technology Research and Development to Optimize Criminal Justice Use of Social Media in the "Web 3.0" Environment. NORC in collaboration with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) proposes to develop, design, test, and introduce a tool based on Web 3.0 technology to help law enforcement and other public safety agencies address the problem of human trafficking, particularly sex trafficking. ca/ncf
