The Miami Dade Police Department and Crime Laboratory intend to continue the work that was implemented with their 2007, 2008 and 2009 Solving Cold Cases with DNA awards. These grant funds will allow for the review and investigation of approximately 1,200 sexual crimes and 100 homicide cold cases. Funding will support investigative overtime, two full-time evidence specialists, investigative travel, training, and software to review and locate evidence.
