Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2007, $2,300,000)
West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation proposes to support the NIJ Electronic Crime portfolio. Activities include, but are not limited to, testing and evaluating new technologies; supporting the Electronic Crime Partnership Initiative; assist agencies with the adoption of new e-crime tools and methods; develop new courses of instruction to continue and expand education in digital evidence collection, investigation and analysis; develop and deliver new tools and methodologies for investigating and prosecuting Internet fraud and Identity theft cases; and continue to deliver and expand NIJ's 'Bag and Tag' course for first responders.
