Applicant will research algorithms for spectrum etiquette and prioritization for cognitive radios. Will work with IEEE P1900 (group that focuses on next generation radio and spectrum management). Work is important in achieving spectrum efficiencies.

This award will provide funding to Stevens Insitute of Technology to continue the development of a cognitive radio for law enforcement use. This project will focus on technology that will allow users to dynamically occupy and release spectrum whenever and wherever they are available
