The Essex County Prosecutor's Office will partner with the various municipal and county police departments through the Essex County Chiefs of Police Association to identify, locate, and investigate cold cases for the possible application of forensic DNA technology. Additionally, the office will partner with the New Jersey State Police Office of Forensic Sciences for technical assistance in reviewing evidence and the performance of forensic testing.
