Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $2,961,684)
UNH will conduct further research and development into the Project 54 car. There are five developments that will be on-going. First there will be work on the simulator used to test new functionality into the Project 54 car. Next, a datacasting project, with NH Public TV will be developed which allows broadband transmissions to the Project 54 car. A multi-radio control and cross radio patching functionality will be developed as well as a software based P25 data base station/router. Last, a PDA will be developed for use outside of the Project 54 vehicle for queries to law enforcement databases when conducting routine police work.
