The research proposed in this application represents a collaboration between scientists from the University of Connecticut and the Connecticut State Forensic Sciences Laboratory (CSFSL). The goal of this research is to contribute to the knowledge of fingerprint pattern formation, thereby improving fingerprinting's scientific validation.
