Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $20,000)
This project will address issues of resolution and discriminatory capabilities in forensic drug chemistry. The broad objective of this research is to improve the specificity of the analytical methods used to identify MDMA and related drugs. This improved specificity will come from methods which allow the forensic analyst to eliminate other substances as the source of analytical data matching that of the controlled drug MDMA.
