This project will study the changes that occur to the spatial orientation of minutiae during maturity. This change is especially pronounced in children through the adolescent years. The focus will be on children ranging in age from 2 - 18 years of age. The end product will be a growth model that will predict the shape changes of fingerprints during a rapid period of growth.
