California Integrated Laboratory Information Management System

The California Department of Justice plans to upgrade the existing California Department of Justice, Bureau of Forensic Services (BFS) case management system and develop a DNA sample information system, all incorporated into a more efficient and integrated laboratory information management system. Such a system is required for more automated sample tracking and case management of the increasing load of case submissions, particularly unsolved DNA case or mass disaster, fatality, or terrorist-missing person's cases.
