The Collection and Dissemination of LTL Databases to the Law Enforcement Community

This is a proposal to collect for NIJ and disseminate via the NIJ website an applicable LTL database. This database would be made available to both the US Law Enforcement Community as well as an international community.
It is envisioned that this database would be divided into four basic elements as follows:
1. Weapon elements
2. Setting elements
3. Behavioral elements
4. Medical outcomes elements
It is anticipated that this data will be used to quantify the use and outcomes of LTL weapon use, and to identify those, weapons, settings, and goals most likely to be associated with successful employment and minimal unintended effects.
