Project Summary for 2003-IJ-CX-K102
The Justice and Safety Center (JSC) at Eastern Kentucky University, by leveraging off of Kentucky economic development funds, will expand work with NIJ programs though the creation of the Public Safety and Security Institute for Technology.
EAGLE-TEK will improve public safety through the use of technology. JSC's newly formed Public Safety and Security institute for Technology (PSI*TEK) will accomplish this through technology research, development, assessment, and implementation in Investigation in Investigative and Forensic Sciences and Learning Technologies. JSC will also work with the Law Enforcement Technology Enhancement Program at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky to develop the Information Analysis Fusian Center. Additionally, the University of Kentucky's School of Law will run the Electronic Rural Access Demonstration Project.
