Texas Tech: Institute of Forensic Sciences Crime Laboratory Improvement Program; Forensic Technical Training Initiative

The purpose of this proposal is for the Institute for Forensic Science to serve the 108 counties in the Western region of Texas, a rural area with a population of 2.1 million and an urban area of approximately 200,000. The goals of the program are: 1) Development of a Media Center for the on-site training and distance learning for Law Enforcement Personnel; 2) Development of a forensic pathology fellowship; 3) Development of ongoing continuing educational programs in forensic science designed to assist law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
