Description of original award (Fiscal Year 1996, $249,962)
The University of Denver will continue operations of the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center - Rocky Mountain Region (NLECTC-RM) for a 12 month period. NLECTC-RM will conduct basic center operation, outreach, and technology assistance in its assigned focus areas as well as general law enforcement and corrections technologies. The center will remain a resource for approximately 4,000 law enforcement and correction agencies in the Rocky Mountain Region, which includes the ten states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. It is equally committed to being a national resource for the technology areas of Public Safety Communications; Explosive Device and Neutralization Technology; and Crime Mapping and Analysis.
