0:01 Sometimes a major and minor contributor will not be easily discernable in a mixture sample.
0:06 However, if one of the contributors can be identified, a known single-source sample
0:11 can be obtained. The profile from that contributor can be analyzed separately to
0:15 determine its peak locations and height ratios. This essentially allows the analyst to subtract
0:21 the known profile from the mixture profile if the mixture represented two contributors,
0:26 then the remaining peaks will give a likely idea of the unknown profile.
