The authors evaluate how the different interfaces are used by officers in the field and report on three lessons on designing in-car user interfaces.
This article reports on the evaluation of the Project54 system, which integrates electronic devices in police cruisers and provides a speech user interface and a GUI, and also incorporates the original user interfaces provided by the devices' manufacturers. (Publisher abstract provided)
