The Office of Justice Programs is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community.
With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for funding the development, operation, and management of the Center to Enhance Research Capacity (CERC) at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs).

The date by which grantees will be expected to have a formal agreement in place with partnering agencies has been changed from January 1, 2024, to September 1, 2023, on pages 7 and 9. The period of performance start date (see page 13) also has been changed from January 1, 2024, to September 1, 2024.
The deadline to submit questions in advance to be answered at the funding webinar has been changed from October 18 to October 13.
