Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $1,500,000)

The Hudson Institute will appoint members to, as well as host, support, and monitor the activities of, the Independent Review Committee (IRC) per the First Step Act in order to ensure that the IRC assists the Attorney General in carrying out the Attorney General’s duties under 18 U.S.C. 3631(b), 3632, and 3633, as added by section 101(a) of this Act.
