Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2015, $63,705)
The project objective will be accomplished by using contract Certified Latent Print Examiners (CLPE) to work impression evidence cases for ISPFS. The laboratory system will use several contract individuals and a contract company to work ISPFS backlogged cases at the ISPFS laboratory. The contract CLPEs will provide training to IISPFS staff as they work cases, evaluate opportunities for efficiencies in processing cases as they work in the ISPFS system, and work with our newer examiners to implement identified efficiencies in the latent/impression evidence unit.
