In the state of Washington, the Washington State Patrol Crime Laboratory Division (WSPCLD) and the Innocence Project Northwest Clinic (IPNW) at the University of Washington School of Law have successfully partnered on postconviction DNA cases involving forcible rape, murder and non-negligent manslaughter. In doing so, our organizations have collaborated with law enforcement, prosecutors, courts and private laboratories to identify cases, locate evidence and conduct postconviction DNA testing on behalf of wrongly convicted inmates.
