Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $62,176)
The Coroners Office is requesting funds to contract with a forensic anthropologist and forensic odentologist as well as purchase the necessary equipment to perform analysis on approximately 40 sets of unidentified human remains. Funds will also be used to ship the remains to the University of North Texas Health Science Center where DNA analysis will be performed. The resulting DNA profiles will be entered into CODIS 6.0.
