Detectives will identify, locate and view items of evidence and submit laboratory requests for DNA testing. The second main goal is to retain one full-time contract Forensic Biologist and one DNA analyst in the Crime Laboratory to complete DNA (STR and Y-STR) analysis of 75 cold case homicides, upload eligible DNA profiles to CODIS, and report CODIS hits to investigators.
