This project is the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center of Excellence for Electronic Crime. The applicant will establish and operate the Electronic Crime Technology Center of Excellence to support the National Institute of Justice research, development, testing and evaluation processes (RDT&E) in the areas of electronic crime, digital evidence and forensic science. The awardee will facilitate the transfer of electronic crime and digital evidence technology developed through NIJ R&D funding as well as other tools and technologies that will build the electronic crime and digital evidence capacity of State and local law enforcement which will reduce case backlog.
