Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $300,000)
WVHTC Foundation proposes the facilitation and management of the Mock Prison Riot(MPR), which is a four-day, comprehensive Law Enforcement and Corrections (LEC) tactical and technology experience, including exhibit space, tactical training scenarios, technology demonstrations, technology assessments and evaluations, certification workshops, opportunities for feedback, and networking by participants. The MPR facilitates the 'marriage' of technology developers and practitioners under the realistic conditions. Although the MPR welcomes all applicable new and emerging LEC technologies, emphasis is placed on those identified as high priority by the NIJ. This merging of technologies and practitioners under such realistic conditions results in feedback, guidance and shape the future of tools and tactics for emergency response. CA/NCF
