Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $121,625)
The Forensic Training Network (FTN) will develop and deliver seven self-learning, interactive online Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) training modules to an unlimited number of individuals involved in crime scene investigations and/or evidence processing; e.g. bloodstain pattern analysis, enhancement and collection; crime scene reconstruction; crime scene investigation models; and photography). Also the Forensic Training Network will work in collaboration with the California State University. The Fresno location will provide participants the opportunity to receive one graduate level unit of academic credit upon successful completion of all seven modules. All training modules will include simulated exercises that will allow students to practice implementing information learned and will be disseminated to those out in the field of Crime Scene Investigation. ca/ncf
