The goal of this effort is to develop a tool set for bomb robots to remove bomb vests, belts, etc., from suicide bombers. This tool set will leverage technology developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and be compatible with as large a number of the different types of robots used by bomb squads as possible. The majority of the users of this technology will be local law enforcement agency bomb squads. Other bomb squads will use it as well.
