In-Car Digital Video Camera Evaluation Project

The Alabama Department of Public Safety will purchase and install servers and digital ICV system equipment in State Trooper patrol vehicles assigned to the Quad Cities and Jacksonville trooper posts. The goal of this program is to increase officer safety, ensure officer integrity and increase conviction rates for criminal activity. Results of this program will be analyzed to determine if the use of the funding successfully accomplished the objectives outlined. Results from the project analysis will be compiled into appropriate format and submitted to the NIJ. The users of this technology will be local law enforcement. nca/ncf
