The South Carolina Information Exchange (SCIEx) is a fully GJXDM compliant information sharing system, designed within the public domain, for sharing law enforcement information among agencies within South Carolina. This system is fully capable of serving as the national model. Originally created as the Low Country Information Technology Improvement Project (ITIP) the system was adopted by the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) of South Carolina, for expansion and enhancement to become a fully interoperable information sharing system for all law enforcement throughout the State. SCIEx will be expanded and improved during 2006 using additional State grants and supplemental funding within the Center's budget to complete build out for participation of every agency in the State.
