Agile, Multi Antenna Capable SDR Platform for Advanced Public Safety Communications

The applicant proposes to continue work on developing a high-speed data sharing system that is capable of transmitting a video feed. This technology is being developing with participation from University of California ' Irvine Police Department. This prototype will enable officers to send high-speed data transmissions within a challenging urban environment.

This funding is for the project titled "Agile, Multi-Atenna Capable SDR Platform for Advanced Public Safety Communications - Continuation". The awardee will continue to Develop new base-band algorithms to support cognitive power management techniques with the goal of reducing power consumption. In addition, develop SDR algorithms for multi-standard support, develop and implement algorithms to support multiple antennas on the platform and
design new RF components that support multiple antennas at lower power.
