Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $274,875)
This project will further the Cutting Edge of Technology project, with deliverables focused on further development of comprehensive digital in-car camera minimum performance standards (specifications) and a mobile video camera product certification and testing program.
The International Chiefs of Police will continue work on the Cutting Edge of Technology Project with a concentration on Digital In-Car Camera Systems and the Police Pursuit Database over a 12 month period. Minimum performance standards for in-car cameras will be developed and finalized and produce the specifications necessary for the implementation of a testing and certification program. Statistical analysis of the records in the Police Pursuit Database will also be published.
