Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2005, $986,643)
The West Virginia High Technology Consortium (WVHTC) Foundation will continue to coordinate a pilot program in West Virginia to digitally record and store the 3D facial and fingerprint of school age children (with parental approval). The biometric data will be stored on a secure server located at the WVHTC. This project will assemble the hardware and software to enable the immediate dissemination to proper authorities and to the public of the image of the missing child.
