This study will add to our knowledge and understanding of sexual violence against elderly women. An established, multi-disciplinary Working Group will work collaborative to expand an existing database of 125 cases of sexual assault against elderly women to 225 cases will be identified and analysed by the members of the working group. The goals of this project are to analyze the psychometric characteristics of the comprehensive Sexual Assault Assessment Tool Elder, to develope informed recommendation about primary prevention and apprehension of perpetrators/offenders; and to identify systemic and institutional response to allegation of sexual abuse.
