ROJECT SUMMARY 2003-mu-mu-0001
This project proposes to conduct a needs assessment of African American women who are residents of Maryland and have been sexually assaulted. the project will build on the methodlogy, finding and partnerships developed during the SNAP , which was designed to shed light on sexual assault in Maryland and evaluate the States services for victims. Follow up analyses will be conducted to determine whether there are differences by race in terms f detailsof assault, reporting to police, and medical and counseling services recieved. Analysis will also be conducted to determine if these differences are due to race alone or other variables, such as geographic location , age, or socioeconomic
status.
