The Vera Institute of Justice, in partnership with Arab law Enforcement Assosiation, Will investigate the role of community policing officer in gathering intelligence on potential terrorists, to examine the state of relation between local law enforcement and Arab communities and to identify innovatice approaches to bridge any gap between the two. From law enforcement, the project will seek to understand the role of beat cops in thre counteracting terrorism threats and how they have been trained to developed and pass along information on potential terrorists.
