DNA analysis used in conjuntion with the CODIS is a powerful investigate tool beginning at the crime scene with the collection of evidence and ending with a judicial concluison. For Codis to be truly effective and DNA to reach it full potential , aiding the criminal justice system in solving crimes, DNA database must be populated with both offenders profilies and DNA profiles from crime scene evidence.
