AN EVAULATION OF SERVICES FOR TRAFFICKING VICTIMS DISCRETION

This project supplements an ongoing NIJ cooperative agreement (#2002-MU-MU-K004) 'An Evaluation of Services for Trafficking Victims Discretionary Grant Program: Comprehensive Services Sites,' by allowing for the addition of a third comprehensive service site. The goal of this project is to document and evaluate the range of services required for a comprehensive collaborative approach to victims of trafficking, the impact of those services, and how those services can most effectively be delivered. Findings will be used to guide implementation of services (e.g., identify methods to overcome barriers to service access and provision, etc.), and refine existing service provision plans (e.g., evaluation capacity building) to ensure better services that meet the needs of the victims. The inclusion of an additional site will allow NIJ and OVC to capture important lessons learned from three strong Comprehensive Services grantees representing a wider range of victims of trafficking, different comprehensive service models, and unique geographic areas within the United States. All three sites now include: Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach, in San Francisco, CA; International Rescue Committee in Miami, Florida and Little Tokyo Service Center in Los Angeles, CA.
