Project Summary for 2002-LT-BX-K003 (s-2)
This project supports the Attorney General's Initiative on DNA Laboratory Backlogs (AGID-LAB). Smith Alling Lane (SAL) is a governmental affairs firm with extensive experience working with law enforcement and crime laboratories on DNA issues. SAL will conduct a comprehensive survey to develop data that will allow for the analysis of the relationship between the expansion of DNA legislation and solving and preventing crime. These data will be used by the AGID-LAB working group to determine the level of DNA databasing and DNA casework that will be required to realize the full potential of DNA technology in the criminal justice system.
