The proposal is to take the Multi-sensory Grenade (MSG) developed by the DoD Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate and evaluate it for law enforcement applications. Field evalutions will be performed by one or more law enforcement agencies and information from the evaluations by corrections, state and local personnel will form the basis of the report which evaluate the adequacy of these devices for civilian use and defines the device's specifications (and simplifications/cost reductiona) for use by civilian agencies. The MSG combines intense audible acoustics, intense pulsated light, and other field selectable modules (malodorants, sting bells, CS, etc.) in a grenade designed to clear facilities.
