Project Summary for 2000-RD-CX-K004 s3
This project will expand the research based work program using a commercially available non-toxic, aerosol drug detection and identification system for marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine, with the pilot schools to extend the range of aerosol applications for drug prevention, as well as to begin integrating these uses into drug prevention policies and programs. This includes the expansion of the research to additional states and schools for the purpose of enlarging the geographical base of the research and to develop a greater research range between large/small and urban/rural school systems. This project also plans to expand the drug detection aerosol technology into non-educational environments. This includes correctional facilities, drug courts, law enforcement, and military facilities. Mistral will also continue to develop a high volume mail scanning method in a correction environment through air and liquid sampling methods.
